Through the metaphor
A research framework does not just record what happened; it asks why the system behaves that way at all. The INTP reaches for the model underneath—not satisfied that the code works, but driven to understand how and why it works.
They will turn a single edge case over for days, testing the hypothesis against every counter-example until the reasoning is airtight. The INTP enjoys taking an idea apart to see what holds, prizing consistency over a convenient answer that merely passes.
But a framework can stay in exploration while the deadline waits at the door. The same depth that uncovers the real model can delay shipping—an analysis perfected long after the decision it was meant to inform.
