Through the metaphor
The paladin walks at the front not to be seen but to shield those behind. They make courage contagious, lifting a wavering party toward something worth fighting for. The ENFJ naturally takes that lead and inspires others toward their best.
A paladin reads each ally—the doubter, the reckless one—and binds a mismatched party into a single cause, holding the group's faith together. The ENFJ likewise weaves people into cooperation with warmth and conviction.
But a paladin who takes every blow for the party tires first, and may quietly feel that no one ever raised a shield for them. Always carrying the group's burden and watching for its approval, they can lose sight of their own limits.
Strengths & challenges in this light
Through this lens, the ENFJ's strengths come down to inspiring and uniting others and making a party believe. The challenges grow from the same root: carrying the party's faith so fully that they overload themselves and lean too hard on approval. For the paladin to keep standing at the front, they need to let an ally take a blow now and then and name their own limit plainly.
