What is The Moon?

The Moon is Earth's only natural satellite. It shines by reflecting sunlight, and as it orbits it shows changing phases; its gravity is the main cause of the ocean tides.

Through the metaphor

The Moon moves through its phases without hurry, turning a hidden face and a lit one to the world in a rhythm all its own, and lighting the dark with a soft, steady glow. The INFJ lives the same way: attentive to quiet cycles others miss, and guided by an inner sense of where things are slowly heading.

Its strength is a quiet, perceptive constancy. Where others need the full light of day, the Moon reads the dark and offers just enough glow to guide by. The INFJ works this way too—sensing the feeling beneath the surface and the slow pull of where a person or a group truly wants to go.

But a body that only ever shows one face can keep its far side hidden from everyone. Turning a lit surface to the world while the rest stays dark, the INFJ may guide others gently yet never let them see its own needs—reading every tide but the one rising within, and quietly wearing thin.

Strengths & challenges in this light

Through this lens, the INFJ's strengths come down to the perceptive constancy that reads the dark and the quiet glow that guides others by. The challenges grow from the same root: showing only one face while the far side stays hidden, guiding everyone yet never naming its own needs. For the Moon to keep its light, it has to turn its far side to someone too—to let itself be seen, not only to see.
